This single dad’s oldest daughter planned his 40th birthday party and she wanted to go all out in celebration of him with her younger siblings. Every fete takes the lead of the host, particularly for big birthday parties. This one was all about the man of honor hanging out with a small group of friends and family at home. Having visited the kitchen and party space prior to the event - modern, minimalist, wow factor - we deliberately chose upscale decor that best represented the birthday boy and his residence. Thoughtful manly details adorned the hors d'oeuvres platters (deer antlers, red and yellow Fall leaves, kelp seaweed, a nest of twigs) for showstopper bites such as tuna tartar, duck mousse, crispy risotto squares, and beef filet on bone marrow crostini.
Even though the food and trays were fancy, the ambiance remained casual. Sometimes details of a catered event take backseat to what is most important -- the birthday boy’s laidback entertaining style (almost teetering on a “house party” at the end) -- and we embrace this. Every event we cater is different and always reflective of the client’s entertaining style.
"Our dad had the best party evert! Surrounded by his family and friends, WE ALSO HAD YOU! The food, service, the personal presentations just tailored to our home space made the evening complete. A guest even called your trays ‘landscapes.’ Thank you, and thank you again." - Carol W

Wedding catering is particularly meaningful for our company.
Lauren and Rich chose the W loft in Williamsburg, Brooklyn for an outdoor rooftop wedding ceremony and indoor cocktail reception. This venue is all about the jaw-dropping waterfront views of the Manhattan skyline. With floor-to-ceiling views, the hors d’oeuvres trays took on an entirely new level of grandeur. We selected pedestal dishes for height. Varietal moss, eucalyptus, fresh sage leaves, and wispy ferns were tied together in bouquets with silk green ribbon.
The couple selected the choice menu with a roundup of signature bites: avocado toast, reuben sandwich, beef sliders — that were kid-friendly as well. For the 4 attending vegans, we kept pretty much the same menu, but used dairy free cheeses for the mac and cheese and grilled cheese — even the non-vegans gobbled them up!
"Karen recently catered my wedding and she was awesome! From the first phone call to the wedding day, she made everything so much easier. She really went above and beyond my expectations. She was able to accommodate for some vegan guests without me having to change my menu, which was great. All of the food was delicious and her staff was excellent! If I ever plan an event where I need catering again, I would hire her in a second!" - Lauren L
We provide gourmet holiday party catering in the Philadelphia area with menu options to fit your budget. View photos from this past holiday menu and others in our gallery!
Johnny and Brittany wanted their holiday party catering to be splashy, but sophisticated, in their west village apartment. The event started with most of the guests spilling in on the late side (twenty somethings!), but finished strong, with very little food left over from the "premium menu”: seared tuna, beets with goat cheese, sliders, foie gras, pigs in a blanket and a custom dessert and chocolate molten cakes (an exception to our no fork & plate rule).
During the initial client meeting to scout out the kitchen and party space, we discussed ways to amp up up the holiday spirit without being gimmicky. The “right” colors for this holiday bash and Johnny and Brittany’s home were gold and silver—we knew it the second we walked in the door. "Yes" to shimmer and metallics and "no" to red plaid ribbons and anything country-looking. With the Christmas tree lit up, their holiday party was festive and merry in every way.
"You are a true artist! Thank you for the masterpieces you created for our holiday party. Everything looked beautiful and the best part was the flavor. Your guidance in the process gave us great peace of mind. Thank you again!" - Johnny S

We love collaborating with clients like Tasha for our catered birthday parties, particularly when there is a central theme: the Great Gatsby (Jazz Age) era. Specializing in menu customization, we discovered that many finger foods served a century ago are ones we still see on menus today. Some reflected the opulence of the “Roaring Twenties” like oysters rockefeller, salmon mousse, and stuffed mushrooms. Others, such as deviled eggs and ham biscuits, were simpler speakeasy fare.
Visually stunning food platters with the appropriate materials selected (ribbons, flowers, dishes) can really enhance a theme, just like Tasha’s Prohibition gin cocktail served in coupes and swing music. Research came in handy here. We chose black, silver and gold as colors (think Art Deco design). Inspired by a flapper dress, sparkly and stylish were vivid descriptives we kept in mind for sourcing supplies for each food platter.
"Thank you so much for catering our party, and for all of your invaluable help. You truly exceeded our expectations in every respect, and helped to add a dose of fun and remove a load of stress from the planning process. The food and signature cocktails were delicious and beautifully presented, both of your staff were engaging and helpful, and our guests were highly complimentary of you and the entire event. Hopefully we will have an opportunity to celebrate with you again in the future." - Tasha K
We provide gourmet canapes catering in the Philadelphia area with menu options to fit your budget. View photos from this past canapes menu and others in our gallery!
This at-home fundraiser for one of the hosts' kids soccer programs was a great opportunity to provide canapes catering! Amanda chose the greenery and foliage food presentation package from the "choice menu." Some clients give us free creative reign for designing their trays. Others, like Amanda, gave us creative visual input on what she wanted: a whole theme on branches with moss. Funky and graphic is good, she said. A heart fluttering moment for us.
Foraged, hand-picked branches and bark from New Hampshire gave all 6 trays its own unique, but elegant, look. Textural moss added splashes of brightness and zip. The rock moss platter was a perfect complement to the salmon gravlax on pumpernickel bread. The colors of avocado toast were complemented by a white birch branch with a clamshell mushroom still attached to it.
An October benefit, I suggested a seasonal apple ginger vodka cocktail, a good balance of punchy tart flavors, something guests can drink all night long with the food.
"Everything was delicious and got rave reviews from our guests. The platters were so gorgeous and elegant - they looked even better than I had hoped. Thank you for helping me put together a great evening. You worked so professionally that there was literally nothing for me to do before, during or after the party. I've never been so relaxed during an event we've hosted in our home. You made it easy." - Amanda O

Marcia and Ray didn’t want to make a big deal out of their wedding day and reception. In lieu of renting out a venue, they hosted all 70 guests in their backyard. The bride wore flip flops; the groom, shorts. There was no welcome table or escort cards.
Guests milled around munching on heavy appetizers - crudites, pulled pork, Korean short rib sliders, meyer lemon arancini, fried chicken.
When it came to plotting out how to create and design the food trays, we channeled fun, whimsy, playful energy into each one. The wedding food platter that best represents Marcia and Ray and their big day was the deviled egg tray with accents of dyed green flowers poking out of faux grass. Even though this item isn’t offered on the premium menu, we made them anyway — it's Ray's favorite!
"A very belated thank you note to thank you SO much for the delicious food and wonderful service at our wedding. As I said to you in person, people were raving about the food and my only regret is that I didn't get to eat more of it - especially the Korean short rib sliders! Ray, however, tells me that every single thing was outstanding so thank you for helping to make our wedding day a special one." - Marcia D

This young Baltimore couple had already eaten at the world's best restaurants, even 11 Madison Park! So it was natural for them to select the premium menu that's geared to a more sophisticated palate for their wedding appetizers.
This wedding took place at the Lofts at Prince in Soho with a rooftop ceremony and cocktail reception; food presentation incorporated gold as the lead color with antique elements thrown in as a nod to the bride's personal aesthetic. They selected signature items that revealed their breadth of gastronomic dining: foie gras with sea urchin, pork belly steamed buns, short ribs, scallops, and yuzu shrimp.
For their signature cocktail, we did a his-and-hers drink pairing: the moscow mule and moscow buck. Instead of using ginger beer, the mixologist concocted a house-made ginger shrub to update the traditional recipe!
"Your ears should be ringing with praise and I hope lots of phone calls. The food was delicious and you were the star. I received so many phone calls asking who the caterer was. I hope you enjoyed this evening as much as I did." - James H
We provide gourmet baby shower catering in the Philadelphia area with menu options to fit your budget. View photos from this past baby shower food menu and others in our gallery!
We have a soft spot in our hearts for baby shower catering! The mom-to-be's best friends planned Caroline's pink themed baby shower, selecting a variety of favorites with two off-the-menu hors d'oeuvres, including vegetable summer rolls and hot shrimp scampi, that Caroline expressly craved in her last trimester.
Petals of pink carnations, tulips, and gerber daisies were mixed with pink cascading ribbons and pink himalayan salt to effect a delicate feminine touch for the food presentation. And why not put the cutest, tiniest baby stroller on the shrimp scampi platter as tray decor?
"Thank you again for putting together the most delicious bites and the most adorable baby girl themed plating. You were such a hit! We are looking forward to working with you again in the future. Thank you for the super cute onesie. I love it, and it was so thoughtful of you to get us something." - Caroline S

Every Christmas party catering event we do has a different aesthetic for the food platters. We take the party space and its interior design into account.
For Karen and Colby’s townhouse, we came up with a theme around a snowy sleigh ride: a wooden sleigh piled high with pine branches, holly berries, pine cones, and even small piles of (fake) snow.
Serving 50 guests party catering menu favorites (sliders, butternut squash crostini, swordfish BLT, brownies), the vibe is merry and joyous.
"I just want to reiterate how much I appreciate you and your work. Perfect everything. And those words don't come easily from my mouth! I can't believe the luck of having found you on google. Delicious, beautiful, discreet, relaxed, efficient, fun and authentic." - Karen S
We provide gourmet graduation party catering in the Philadelphia area with menu options to fit your budget. View photos from this past graduation menu and others in our gallery!
Julia's mom, Leslie, had heard about our graduation party catering through a friend. Her daughter Julia was graduating from NYU and it was time to celebrate!
To carry NYU’s school colors throughout the fete, Leslie arranged for purple and white balloons. She also selected the "colors and flowers" food presentation package from the choice menu, so we incorporated purple and white into each tray using sheer fabrics and ribbons. Plus, it coincided with the springtime explosion of purple flowers, so we added feminine, fun youthful details with tons of blossoms! Tray design for the small bites (grilled cheese, pizza, sliders, avocado toast, apple tarts) was crisp and fresh.
We also provided the non-alcoholic ingredients for a purple colored cocktail: a blackberry French 75 with champagne and a fresh lavender sprig as garnish picked up at the farmer’s market.
"Thank you for such an amazing job catering Julia's graduation party. She and her guests are still talking about how much fun they had and how amazing the food was. In addition to the delicious food and cocktails, the service from start to finish was stellar. On a personal note, putting together a party can be exhausting and annoying - especially when it's not your home and you're planning from another state entirely. Your guidance and personality kept me stress free. You made the process easy and I greatly appreciate anyone who helps me simplify that which is difficult! You are amazing at what you do. Thank you!" - Leslie S

We met Jennifer, Director of Events at Sherry-Lehmann Wines & Spirits, through an annual fundraiser in 2014, and she reached out to us to cater a corporate wine tasting event for Morgan Stanley a few years later. The mainly all male crowd of 50 were hearty after-work eaters with waiters passing bites quickly in succession, from crab salad to Caesar chicken, beef sliders to salmon gravlax, all popular "choice menu" selections.
The corporate client dictated the food presentation decor. Dishes in neutral tones and greenery were specifically selected for their minimalist and sophisticated nature. And we took a “less is more” approach for designing each tray.
"I wanted to tell you what a pleasure it was working with you, and the amazing positive feedback I got about you! The client LOVED everything." - Jennifer Z
